Brandon and Genevieve came to me back in early 2019. There at our first meeting, I met with both parents as well. To me, that was a good sign, it is only when both sides are closely knitted that this can happen. Then I came to find out that their families are close because both mothers are friends and they all attend the same church.
Before their wedding could happen, COVID hit, and they had to postpone their wedding.
Their postponed date happens to be the weekend just before Phase 2 HA was activated so all went well. During the wedding, their warmth and concern about my well-being were so family-like and it made me feel like part of the family. That really rarely happens.
